2021三学期始業式
東京に緊急事態宣言が出たので、昨日の予定だった始業式を通勤客の少ない今日にずらし、来週一週間をオンライン授業にすることにしました。
コロナ禍の中、生徒の安全を最優先にしつつも、これまで様々な工夫をしながら部活動や文化祭、体育祭を実施してきました。例年、3学期に行ってきた合唱祭の実行委員たちは再三の変更に心が折れそうになっているのではと、その気持ちを思うと胸が痛いです。
私も例年一学期に行っている1年生の道徳の授業を延期し、来週に予定しています。内容はコミュニケーションのワークショップでディスカッションやペアワークが欠かせないので、今年は無理かなぁと一瞬弱気になりましたが、みんなが諦めずに頑張っているのに背中を押され、なんとか工夫してオンラインで実施するつもりです。
生徒の一年は二度と戻ってきません。品女で過ごす中高生としての貴重な時間、その体験をなくさないよう、感染状況を見つつ対応していきます。
一月一日の朝
明けない夜はありません
無病息災を祈って、食べる七草がゆを食べました。
オーストラリアの姉妹校、イプスウイッチ・ガールズ・グラマースクールから、グリーティングが届きました。
私が現地を訪ねて交渉し、姉妹校提携をしてから30年以上が経ちました。
世界的に同じ苦しみを抱いているときだからこそ、励ましあいたいです。
各国の学生たちも頑張っています。
知人を介して、Harvardの学生から自分たちが主催するプログラムを紹介されました。Zoomで高校生向けのProgramを提供するそうです。ビジネス、コーディングなど、生徒参加型のDiscussionを主体としたもので、世界中から参加を受け付けるので、 日本の高校生も参加するといい刺激になるのではとのことです。時間も日本との時差を考えて、別個にScheduleを考慮するそうです。

Harvard Student Agencies is offering Academies @ Home for high school students. We are interested in extending the online program to Japanese students. The program offers 4 different courses: Business, Pre-Med, Coding, and Pre-Law. Each course will last 4 days, with each session spanning 4 hours.
These classes will be through the Zoom video conferencing software and taught by qualified student instructors. It will include a variety of activities, and they are designed to be as interactive, engaging, and involved as possible. Academies @ Home offers a special opportunity for students to obtain challenging and enriching education while receiving advice from current Harvard students.
